Is it possible to harness the growth of the 3D printing sector to help the millions of people who live on less than $1.50 per day gathering waste plastic?
We think so!
For forward thinking makers everywhere, Reflow delivers high quality 3D print filament made from recycled plastic bottles in a way that’s affordable, ethical and sustainable. Reflow shares 25% of its profits with the waste pickers in developing countries who collect the raw material, enabling them to earn 20 times more for the plastic they collect ( an impact that will circulate in their local communities )
We have set up production in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and are currently testing the material with industrial partners and universities worldwide. We’ll be working together with 3Dhubs to launch the product through a Kickstarter campaign at the beginning of April. If you want to be among the first backers and make use of the super early bird discount (EUR15 per kg of PET filament), sign up for our newsletter here and you’ll be the first to know.
Production will begin in Tanzania and Mexico but we are focused on expanding our network of filament producers over the coming years. We are now looking for 3D enthusiasts that want to be a part of the broader movement towards revolutionising the way filament is made. Let’s start the conversation by signing up here or send an email to Jasper@reflowfilament.com.
Hope to hear from you soon! And if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me at Jasper@reflowfilament.com
