Dutch Design Week is happening this week and this year’s theme focuses on the power of imagination related issues & activities, presented as exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops, talks, etc.
The Dutch Design Week is huge and one day is definitely not enough, but yesterday a few of the 3D Hubs peeps gave it a go. It’s hard to do a round-up of all the awesomeness, but here are the 3D printing insane highlights of the things we got to see. Just in case you haven’t convince yourself to go there yet 
1. First things first! Ms Ferrari @subohm kicked off the tour with this get-the-buzz DDW banner:
2. Olivier van Herpt’s functional 3D printed ceramics and his self-made clay extruder - that print you see in the image took only 1 hour, mind you!
3. Circumventive organs by Agatha Heins (UK). She uses bio-print technologies by crossing different kinds of cells to create new type of organs with new features. Imagine the functionalities of an electric eel being used to fibrillate a heart during a heart attack. Mind-blowing!
4. BioArt, designing with living materials through the help of 3D printing, an Ultimaker and a syringe!
5. Paper-based 3D printing from MCor Technologies. This is the only clear shot I ended up with from their stand, but I believe it speaks volumes!
6. I didn’t catch the details on this one, but it’s funny so I thought I’d still share it
7. The Print+ headphones couldn’t have missed from this crazy good line-up @printplus_diy
8. Pieter Husmann’s Helo project, which consists of these awesomely fly 3D printed wireless in-earphone, custom-made from transparent rubber. Pretty stylish alternative to the current options, right?
9. Nearly there by Jonathan Roditi is a really cool project mixing 3D scanning, 3D printing and video-projection mapping to portray family and friends. The image doesn’t do it justice, so I definitely recommend watching this vid: https://vimeo.com/132151054. Is this the future of portraits?
10. And of course we were happy to meet up with @, 3D Hubs Mayor of Eindhoven, and @Sander_Smit, 3D Hubs Mayor of Arnhem. Together with the usual suspects: @ @subohm @Paul_71 @Jordan_7 @Mats_R__Jakobse and @crystal_amazing
