Hi, I am about to cast an 18k rose gold ring from a formlabs 3d printed model in castable resin. I am confused about the burnout process. Please can somebody suggest me about an specific burnout process to follow? Thank you, Lorena
You can find the recommended process here or on the Formlabs website
Make sure you have post cured the model first though in an appropriate chamber.
Best, James
Depend of the ceramic of the mold .
Are you usign plaster ? with silica ou something ?
Thanks for your reply. I am using Kerr satin cast 20, is a crystalline silica based investment.
Thanks for your reply James, I have looked at the chart but the temperature times are not clear to me. Please, could you check if the above specific times are ok?: I have to cast a small flask cointaining just 1 ring. 167 C ____ insert flask 177C ____ hold for 30 minutes 732 C ____ hold for 3 hours 482 C ____ hold for 1 hour and cast Can I add a middle temprature between 177C and 732C? thank you, Lorena
