So I’ve come across the Anet A8 online, and got two questions: First, is it any good? I don’t need extremely precise printers, just something for beginners.
I got mine from ebay germany. I think this is a good start for the beginning. Its upgradeable has better mechanics then the geeetech prusa i3. But the board is quite proprietary. I am really satisfied with this printer.
To us it’s a great printer. It was our first and we are about to get another so we can print more stuff. The first one we got was from gearbeast. This second we are getting from Aliexpress. It’s It’ll be under $200 including shipping for some. It’s a great beginning printer.
For the money, its quite amazing. I think the £125 price a few weeks ago meant they sold out on Gearbest and other places in China. Careful of the wiring to avoid anyhhing overheating.
I’m living in Switzerland. I originally wanted to have it ship to germany and then I’ll pick it up there because the shipping costs are way lower that way.
Me and other friends got it from gearbest without problems. The gearbest’s support team didn’t reply to your inquiere? I would try to contact with them. We received it in Spain / Europe correctly.
I think the printer is great and is an excellent beginner printer, provided you don’t mind taking the extra hours tinkering with it to get it to print how you want. I love this sort of thing so it works well for me. If you are wanting a printer that works perfectly right out of the box, I’d recommend shelling out the extra money for a more polished printer. Again, I really like this printer and recommend it, provided you know what you’re getting.
It is the price factor that determines this Kit by most of the user. Should be considering Tevo Tarantula got this price dropped now to 199 USD with shipped and has an active facebook community and worthy upgrades.
