3D Printed Milan Chess Set

Italian designer Davide Chiesa came up with the idea that new modern buildings and historical presences could live side by side, not only in the physical reality but also in a miniature world.

This has been immediately fascinating to him and stimulated a design process of miniaturization which gave life to a world not yet explored. The exploration of this new land has produced the design of six different chess pieces with skyscrapers, towers, palaces and monuments; in their endless dance, they offer the illusion of an urban skyline not fixed, but continually evolving and changing on a horizontal surface.
